Game creation

Pocket: Make Gizmos.

Meta's mobile app turns descriptions into editable interactive gizmos. It overlaps with lightweight game creation, but a gizmo is not necessarily a complete game or exportable project.

Interactive experiences and lightweight games

Meta Platforms, Inc. lists Pocket on iOS and Android. Its developer description calls the output a gizmo: a small interactive experience made by describing it, refined in an editor and shared on a profile.

The Android page describes touch and phone-tilt interaction, sound, camera input and photos. Examples include puzzles, quizzes and selfie cameras. Some fit lightweight game creation; others are interactive utilities or visual experiments. A gizmo does not necessarily have a win condition or a complete game loop.

Access and editing

Store entries establish product identity, not worldwide creation access. Region and account requirements, generation allowances, fees and recovery controls need checking in the app. We have not installed Pocket or tested a generated experience.

Distribution boundary

Profile sharing is described by the developer. Opening a work in an external browser, downloading its source and hosting it independently remain unverified, as do commercial terms. An editable experience inside Pocket is not evidence of a transferable project.

A useful first assessment

For playful touch interactions, compare Pocket with Aippy. A proposed test is a tap puzzle with an explicit goal: create it, change one interaction, then check touch, score and restart. Verify sharing on another device and record account requirements. No such assessment has been performed.
